Uzbekistan Airports JSC and Allied Biofuels FE LLC signed an MOU for the supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and electro-synthetic SAF (e-SAF), aiming to start by 2030. The project includes a biofuels refinery projected to produce 160,400 tonnes of SAF and 257,000 tonnes of e-SAF annually, supported by a 4.45 GW renewable energy system.
