Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (BPCL) has awarded contracts to Technip Energies for expansions at its Bina and Mumbai refineries. The Bina project aims to increase refining capacity by 3.2 million tpy and produce 550,000 tpy of polypropylene and 50,000 tpy of Butene-1. The Mumbai project will introduce a new 3-million tpy petro resid fluidized catalytic cracker, part of a broader strategy to diversify petrochemical production.
