LanzaTech has chosen North Sea Port in Ghent, Belgium, for its first commercial-scale Alcohol-to-Jet Sustainable Aviation Fuel facility. The €500 million project aims to produce 79,000 tonnes of SAF and 9,000 tonnes of renewable diesel annually, creating around 50 permanent jobs and 300 temporary jobs during construction. The facility will comply with international aviation fuel regulations and is supported by EU Horizon 2020 funding.
