Wildcat Discovery Technologies and EnergyX announced a joint venture to establish a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode manufacturing facility in Hooks, Texas. The facility aims to produce 15,000 metric tonnes per annum of LFP cathode material, supporting U.S. battery supply chains and national defense. The project represents over $230 million in investment and is expected to create approximately 150 direct jobs and up to 1,200 indirect jobs.
